The island is close to the mainland, 45 minutes by ferry from Keramoti port. Keramoti is about 40 km away from Kavala city and 12km away from Kavala airport. Thessaloniki airport is 210 km away to Keramoti port. Thassos is easily accessible due to the frequent ferry routes, there are scheduled routes almost every 30 minutes. There is no need to book a ferry ticket in advance, tickets are sold at Keramoti port for the next scheduled ferry.
